Are you in your own way?

July 3, 2019 - Are you in your own way? Are you feeling like everything is up to you or it doesn’t get done? Are you constantly moving, making things happen, getting things done, checking things off of your list, and yet feel as though you never have a moment to catch your breath? OR are you stuck and cannot seem to get past it and you are not clear why? Are you hesitating more than progressing and doubting more than doing? Are you questioning, yet not finding the answers or answering when there was no question? Does it have to be perfect, and that is part of the problem? Are you feeling all alone in your efforts, and yet not inviting anyone in?  You have within you the power to choose, the power to act, and the power to be all that you can be. It begins with you deciding what you don’t want, what you enjoy doing, and what matters most in each moment.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to the reality you have placed yourself in. If you feel you don’t have a moment to breathe, make a list of all the things you wish or would prefer not to be doing. Now make a list of things you would prefer to be doing. For all the things you would prefer not to do, note someone or something that could eliminate it from your responsibility. For all the things you would like to be doing, list two actions you can take, then schedule them. If you are hesitating, feeling doubtful, or uncertain, list your reasons why you may feel this way. Then with each reason, think of one thing that refutes that as your reality, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you. OR list one action you could take that would make it less daunting or uncertain. As you review these answers make a commitment to yourself that you will stop getting in your own way, and instead, find a way or make a way to live the life you desire. It is your choice. It is your power to embrace from within.
