Are you settling?

April 10, 2017 - Are you settling? Are you allowing yourself to make exceptions to your high standards because you feel you have no choice?  Are you accepting less than desired efforts by others or even yourself due to a belief that you cannot give it your full focus or resources at this time? Are you wanting more for less without being willing to give more yourself? Are you lowering your expectations due to perceived limitations? To achieve beyond what you are currently achieving requires commitment, dedication, determination, and an unwavering attitude that you can do more and deserve the very best outcome because you have given your very best to the effort. When you begin to give less or believe you must expect less, then you will get exactly what you expected ... less.

Take an MM&I Moment to assess how you may be sabotaging your efforts through a mindset of settling. How can you be more resourceful in accomplishing what you are setting out to do? What critical steps are necessary for you to take no matter what it may cost in time or resources? Who can be a resource you have not considered before? How is your own mindset getting in the way through a focus on limitation instead of a focus on investment, expectation and reward? If you believe you must settle for less, then you are telling yourself you deserve less. Tell yourself with total confidence and conviction that you deserve more, and make your next decisions based on what more looks like, feels like, and can be like.

Synergized Quote of the Week
"The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for." – Maureen Dowd

Expect more and you will get more, as long as you are willing to give more as well.
