May 16, 2016 - Are you caught up in the details? Are you overwhelmed by the amount of attention everything you are trying to do requires in order to it all done? Are you so focused on all the details that you are losing sight of what it will ultimately take to make real progress? Are you trapped in a mindset that only you can attend to these details, while at the same time feeling overwhelmed by the details? Being able to leverage, on many levels, other people and resources are pivotal to achievement and success. Instead of viewing all the details as more than what you can possibly check off your list, view each detail as an opportunity to leverage others to see them through, and in turn, allow you to see the bigger reward in the end.
Take an MM&I Moment to assess how you can manage the details without having to manage every aspect of them. What have you learned that you can now pass on to someone else to handle or manage for you? What micro-steps can be taken through technology or others' abilities so you can focus on the details that truly are most critical for you to handle. Your ability to progress is within your grasp to handle through leveraging all possible options, resources and support instead of feeling caught in chaos, and demands. Allow what you have learned to inspire and engage others. Allow your thinking to focus on what will strategically get you where you want to go more efficiently and effectively.
