Have you given it your all?

March 23, 2015 - Have you given it your all? Are you lamenting over a particular situation, feeling disappointed by the results or progress realized to-date?  Are you questioning the effort made, wondering what went wrong? Instead of assuming a mistake or misstep has been made, focus instead on what can still be done. All too often, just when someone is on the cusp of a breakthrough and success, he or she gives up or decides not to put as much energy into the endeavor, when it was actually nearing its tipping point. If you truly believe in what you are attempting to do, there is always something else that can be done towards its achievement. Always.

Take an MM&I Moment to assess your feelings related to this particular situation and what you hope to be your desired outcome. Is it important to you? Will it make a difference? Will it bring greater opportunities, open doors or enhance your image, stature, or credibility? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then your focus should be on your next steps. Consider what else you can do to build off of what you have already done. Consider who else you could connect with to share what you are doing. Consider who may need to be reconnected with for additional insight. The bottom line is, your belief in the outcome is as important to its ultimate realization as each step made towards it. So, step forward and embrace it with all that you have to give.
