July 29 – Are you being strategic enough? Are you putting your whole heart and soul into your most desired initiatives to achieve, and still not seeing the results you had hoped for? Are you trying many things to help your business grow, yet not seeing the effort pay off? Are you confident you are focusing on the right things for the right desired outcomes in your business?
When it feels like you are doing everything that you can and you are still not getting the results you desire, maybe it is time to assess why you are doing what you are doing more than what you are doing. Doing everything may be part of the problem, especially if you are doing the same things you have always done or are merely trying to copy what competitors are doing.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to the possibility that while you are being active, you are not being strategic. Sometimes in our exasperation to do and try everything, we are contributing to our own frustration because we aren’t as clear as we need to be in why the actions being taken matter. Is your vision and mission clear giving you a purpose behind you business that is inspiring and differentiating against competitors? Have you clearly defined your most ideal, and most profitable, market segments? Do you fully know which of your offerings are the most profitable and core to what makes you exceptional in business? Have you defined how it is easy to do business with you, what will build confidence in repeat spending with you and what will build loyalty? Are you paying attention to trends that could reveal opportunities competitors aren’t paying attention to? Are you merely copying what competitors are doing or are you focused on what they aren’t doing that customers want to set your business apart from others? Too many businesses tend to be tactical, yet not strategic in their approach to growing. While many things are being done, the reasons behind them are not grounded in what will have true traction and build momentum. Momentum is realized when clarity is unwavering.
