June 24 – Are things heating up or in cool down? Amidst what many call the summer lull and slow down, how are you charging forward? Or are you feeling this mindset slowing you down? With the hotter temperatures, are you feeling that opportunities have gone cold? Are you subconsciously in a holding pattern until the fall hits?
Just because people go on vacation and certain seasonal opportunities may appear to be delayed, there is always something you can do. While it may appear things are slowing down, there are always opportunities to be discovered and embraced. See what others are not seeing. Do what others are not willing to do.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how you can leverage opportunities more creatively and effectively now. What could you be doing that others are not doing? For instance, if you know certain customers are going on vacation, make a note to contact them upon their return. They will be refreshed, and ready to hit the ground running having had a much needed break. Instead of seeing this as a low business tide, why not view it as a ramping up opportunity? If certain aspects of your business are in a slow down, what could you be working on internally to ramp up for upcoming season opportunities? What could you create that would be an appealing offering during off season? How could you enrich your abilities or know-how through learning something you haven’t had time to commit to and now you do? Every moment presents the opportunity to use it wisely or waste it unintentionally. Don’t allow perception to dictate your reality. Empower your best possibilities through inspired action.
