Are you past or future present?

June 03 – Are you past or future present? Is your present dictated too much by your past? Does your past continuously creep up to remind you of what wasn’t possible, didn’t work, cannot be done? Is your past where your pulse is racing with anxious thoughts based on what has happened previously and frustration by what isn’t happening now? Do you find yourself attempting to embrace being in the present moment, only to have the past consuming your thoughts?

When being in the moment is mired in the past, it is keeping you from igniting the future you so richly deserve and desire. Being past present means you have one foot stuck in the past, prohibiting you from being able to embrace and be hopeful for the future. Being future present is empowered through not letting your past define you, but rather, ignite and enrich you. There is a big difference between being entwined in past regrets, mistakes, and failures, and being empowered and powerfully strengthened and evolved because of them.

Take an MM&I Moment  to awaken to how you are in a past present state of mind instead of future present.  What do you keep revisiting and sharing over and over again that keeps your mind focused on what was instead of what is right now? How are you truly letting go of the past in a way that is positively serving and enriching you? How are you viewing the future? In a wishful way or a hopeful way? If wishful, what from the past is causing you to see it as something untouchable or unreachable right now?  Your ability to be genuinely in the present moment requires you to truly and unapologetically leave the past behind. Being in the present moment sees clearly, hears intently, and imagines prophetically. Being truly present is what ignites your future of endless possibilities. It inspires action. It inspires gratitude. It ignites awareness. It ignites hope. It ignites your greatest potential.
