March 18 – Are you telling or showing? Are you frustrated by others who are “all talk and no action”? Do you have things you are telling people but are not necessarily doing what you are saying you are doing or planning to do? Is there anything you are doing that is not in alignment with what you are saying? If you keep talking about something but are not taking any real action, then you may be unintentionally showing others you are all talk and no action.
Especially if you are seeking support and resources, taking real action sends a message that you are truly impassioned and serious. If your actions are not aligned with what you are saying, you could also be sending mixed messages that are confusing versus engaging people.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how you are merely telling and not showing. What have you been talking about for a while, yet nothing can be shown as moving forward about it? What can you do this week to shift it into action? What can you learn about your own lack of motivation that has hindered you from taking action? What do you believe is blocking you from taking action? What are you telling people that should or needs to be done in a particular instance, yet you are not practicing what you are preaching? How can you correct this misalignment? What has caused you to stray from what you know is the right way to handle or proceed? You always have a choice in how you can move things forward. Allow your actions to reinforce your words. Stop procrastinating. Stop delaying. Say it. Mean it. Do it.
