Are you still getting to it?

January 07 – Are you still getting to it? Is there something you have been meaning to get to or pursue and is at the top of your list each New Year?  Do you find yourself revisiting resolutions and goals that seem to be carried over into the next year and then the next? What are your reasons that you haven't made headway? Are they legitimate concerns or merely excuses? Is it your thinking that is limiting you, or are there limits outside of your control?

With this new year upon you, don't allow excuses to keep you from doing what you really would like to be doing.  Don't allow concerns or doubt to cause procrastination that keeps you from what you truly want to be doing. Don't allow limiting beliefs to shortchange what you ultimately can do towards what you desire. If it is important to where you want to be, then tackle what may be stopping you, and take a leap of faith forward.  Open your mind to options so the excuses can be pushed aside to make way for action. Allow your powerful reasons for achieving, doing and being be your foundation creating momentum. What you prioritize you’ll realize!

Take an MM&I Moment  to awaken to why you really want to accomplish something or desire something. Now list your reasons and what you believe is holding you back from pursuing. Next to each reason, ask yourself these questions: 1) “How do I need to think like I haven’t thought before?”  2) “What do I need to do that I haven’t done before?” 3) What do I need to stop doing that I keep doing that is not serving my desire?” and 4) What do I need to continue doing and take to an even higher level of engagement, outreach or effort?” Eliminate the excuses by focusing on your reasons with an open mind and a determined spirit. Allow your reasons to take care of what needs to be taking care of, and then allow your determination because of these reasons inspire action, new approaches, and new opportunities. Then take pride in the rush that comes from getting things back in motion.
