December 10 – Tired of waiting? Do you feel like nothing is happening as effectively or quickly as you would like? Is your patience being tested in realizing the desired results you have been so diligently working toward? Is waiting on a decision or someone else to get back to you causing you to second guess yourself or if it is going to happen at all?
Being able to wait well may seem impossible, but it is your secret weapon to being highly effective. And it is exactly what will keep you from allowing the waiting to distract you from more productive activities and priorities. Progress takes impassioned patience. Impassioned patience takes agile thinking.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how you can wait with patience and purpose. If the waiting you are experiencing is unexplained, how can you gain more insight, clarity, or information? What assumptions are you making that could be more of the issue than the waiting itself? If the waiting is caused by nothing you can control, where else can you direct your attention with impassioned focus to move something else forward? While you are waiting, what opportunities are presenting themselves that you are ignoring? Instead of viewing the waiting as hindering your success, view it as a reason to elevate other initiatives. Don’t allow your desired expectation to cloud your vision from an even better outcome. It could be that waiting is exactly what is necessary to realize an even greater result.
