November 12 – Need to unlearn something? Are your current habits enriching and enhancing your efforts, or diminishing and distracting you? Do you feel accomplished at the end of the day or disappointed by what did not get accomplished? Are there beliefs you have that are influencing you in ways that are not serving you? Is your mind closed to possibilities because of what you believe versus what actually is? Are there activities or initiatives you would like to embrace, but cannot seem to find the time to do them?
Time is never the problem when it comes to making choices. Within each day there are moments of opportunity awaiting your commitment to shift what you are doing currently to what you could be doing intentionally. What habits do you need to unlearn, limit or eliminate that could open up a world of time and potential to you? Do you get caught up in a mindless activity and then find time has slipped away, and then you are annoyed with yourself? Do you know that a habit of yours is not a good one, yet it still is a habit day in and day out?
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to your power to embrace better habits with intention and empowerment. Take a look at all the ways you are spending time during a given day? What could be shifted? What could be eliminated? What could be coupled with another desired activity that creates efficiency or frees up some other time? Any habit that you know you don’t want to keep repeating can be unlearned by replacing it with a more desirable habit that is gratifying and satisfying. Meaningful change does not require radical change. Unlearning something means embracing the good that results from no longer doing it. Unlearning could bring you knowledge and insights that catapult you to levels you have never experienced before. Be open to unlearning and the freedom that comes with it.
