Still getting ready?

June 18 – Still getting ready? Are you failing to start an initiative because you are still preparing what you believe is necessary before hitting the launch button? Do you believe it must be perfect before you can share it with the world? Are you afraid of failing or missing something, so you must consider every option, every scenario, every possible twist and turn? Do you believe you must be mentally ready, and you can’t quite put your finger on what it will take for you to feel that you are ready to proceed?

The year is halfway over. Don’t let the other half get away from you in an effort to be ready. Whenever it is time to take a leap of faith, your psyche can play tricks on you, convincing you more needs to be done before you can go for it. Use your “getting ready” energy to get going. Initiative is self-leadership. Persistence is passion in action. The greatest of opportunities are revealed when  initiative and persistence are engaged.

Take an MM&I Moment  to awaken to why you believe you aren’t ready. What is it you believe you must know or master before you can proceed? What do you feel is missing that you believe you must have to take the leap? What fears are bubbling up that are causing you to believe now is not the right time? Why do you believe it must be perfect? Could you be allowing yourself to be caught in analysis paralysis as a means of staying stuck in not being ready? When you are hesitant, while you may believe it is your intuition telling you to wait, it could actually be fears or uncertainty fooling you into waiting. Defeat is only a state of mind, not a result. Determination leaves defeat in the dust. Belief in oneself is all you need to take the leap.
