June 04 – Is fear fueling your indecision? What are you afraid of? I mean really afraid of? Are you hesitating to take a step forward in some way because you’re afraid of what might happen? Are you imagining the worst scenarios instead of the best possible outcomes? Are you fearful about what you don’t know and what you might find out in the process?
If fear is causing you not to take action, you are allowing it to win over what could possibly exist in your life. Regardless of what you don’t know or what you think you already know, being afraid to proceed towards something you really want is sabotaging you versus keeping you safe. Step forward without knowing all the answers. Step forward because you can.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how fear is paralyzing or inhibiting your efforts. Consider anything you are hesitating about or have not moved forward with any action. What fear is presenting itself in this situation? Is it a fear of failure? Is it a fear of being careful what you wish for if you are successful? Is it a fear of the unknown? Is it a fear of losing control or letting go of something? Is it a fear of taking the risk? Are you disguising your fear with something else, claiming you are just not ready, or it isn’t as much of a priority? Why has it now become less important? Could fear really be the underlying reason causing the inaction? After listing all your reasons, take a moment to determine an action step you could take to get beyond the fear. Then take the action and continue to identify actions that will move you from fear to progress. No matter the crossroad, always choose action.
