May 21 – Do you need to think bigger? Do you believe your goals should be realistic? Do you define realistic as goals that you think are easily attainable? What is stopping you from thinking bigger? Are you afraid to get out of your comfort zone? Are you afraid of failure? Are you doubting yourself before you have even begun? Could there be a more bodacious goal you should be setting?
High-engagement, high-performance companies have high expectations. You should too. This means setting goals that feel like a stretch. This means thinking beyond what you have accomplished already and challenging yourself beyond what is familiar to you today. By pushing beyond your perceived limits, you will achieve beyond what you imagined. By reaching higher, you become limitless.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to possibilities! Review all of your current goals to see if you have made them a little too safe. Consider goals that have been easy for you to achieve. Did you set these easy goals so you could boost your confidence as an easy check-off? How could you restate your goals that would be next-level thinking? How could you restate your goals that could inspire even better than you are currently imagining? Do you have at least one goal that scares you a little bit and makes you feel uncomfortable? Decide to achieve more by wanting more and pushing yourself beyond what’s comfortable. Get uncomfortable. Then allow your faith and belief in it being possible to lead your way forward.
