Are you momentum ready?

Jan 01 – Are you momentum ready? On this January 1st, how are you approaching your goals? Are you caught on the resolutions treadmill? Are you focusing more on what you need to fix, correct, or do better at? Are you feeling a lot of guilt in what you didn’t accomplish and that’s why you feel like you are getting nowhere?

The reason I call it the resolutions treadmill, is you may be moving fast but getting nowhere. Why? Because resolutions seem to focus too much on revisiting, recommitting, re-evaluating, and re-solutioning things you visit again and again each and every year and yet never move the needle. Instead of being focused on what is wrong, how about focusing on what went right?  Instead of making resolutions, how about creating momentum?

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to all you did accomplish and succeed at in the past year. With each accomplishment or success, list how you can build upon it to realize an even greater success? What did you learn that you can put into regular practice? Who did you connect with who could open more doors and opportunities for you? What insights did you gain that can be applied to other endeavors for equal or greater results? Exponential results require exponential effort. Building upon your successes makes achieving almost effortless because it is much more motivating to stay focused on what has worked than what never seems to be working.
