Needing reinforcement?

May 15  – Needing reinforcement? Are you feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders with all that is expected of you and that is on your plate? Do you feel as though nothing is moving forward while everything seems to be spinning around you? Are your expectations not being met in what you are trying to achieve and in what you need to achieve? Being in control of everything is exhausting. It is also not a realistic way to approach life, work, or achievement.

There are things within your control and things outside of your control. Knowing the difference and recognizing what you can truly control is the secret to higher levels of achievement. Once you let go of what you can’t control, you free yourself to focus on what you can control. And with that focus comes progress and forward motion.

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to how you are allowing things outside of your control to hinder your progress and focus. What is weighing you down in responsibility that is in limbo due to something outside of your control? What obligations are you trying to keep that are hindered or being impacted by things outside of your control? What is not moving forward because of a situation or reliance of someone else that is not within your control? In all of these scenarios, what do you still have control of that you can focus on regardless of what is outside of your control. What alternative action can you take? What other resources can you leverage? What other people could you gain assistance from to provide options? When it comes to feeling out of control, your best offense is to focus upon what is in your control. Being open to all possible resources, options and support is where you start. Releasing what you cannot control is where you flourish.
