Is your knowing growing?

Nov 22 – Is your knowing growing? Are you continuously seeking ways to improve or advance, or are you feeling you have things under control and where you want them to be? Do you see challenges as opportunities to grow or obstacles that are hindering your growth? Are you never content, and feel there is always more needed and never enough?

Being better and doing better requires learning and gaining insights along the way. This includes not getting too complacent and also embracing challenges as learning opportunities instead of obstacles. It also includes shifting your discontent from dissatisfaction to continuous curiosity. What may appear to be a wall could actually be a window to awareness and alternatives not considered before.

Take an MM&I Moment to awaken your mind to growth and learning in ways you may not have considered. If you feel you are in a good place, comfortable and content, what could add some zest or joy that is worth you pursuing?  What about learning something new or re-engaging in something that you may miss or that you haven’t done in a while? Are you currently allowing a challenge to frustrate you? How about stepping back and reframing the challenge as an opportunity to grow and learn something more about the situation or even about yourself? If you are feeling discontent, perhaps taking some time to appreciate what you have and want has been realized is worth reflecting upon? Sometimes while we appreciate what we have, we are inspired with ideas and ways to achieve more of what we want. We never know it all, yet can be all knowing in what matters the most to us. To grow is to know more than you did before. When you keep growing, what you knew pales in comparison to what you continually gain.
