Feeling burned out?

Oct 18 – Feeling burned out? Are you feeling like you have gotten to the end of your limit in burning the candle at both ends? Do you feel unenergized by pretty much everything you are doing or attempting to do? Do you find yourself wishing you could escape or get away from it all, and yet you simply can’t, not now?

When you are feeling burned out, no matter what may be the cause, it is time to reignite what has fizzled in your sense of purpose, drive and motivation. Empower your mindset to shift from fizzle to sizzle through reigniting what you ultimately desire. Rediscovering what will bring you joy and enticement to charge forward is as important as taking a look at where and what you may need to let go.

Take an MM&I Moment to reawaken to your desires, hopes, and dreams. First, take a moment to remind yourself about what you ultimately desire for your business and your life. Second, make a list of all that you believe has caused you to feel totally burned out. Now, take a look at the list and put a “C” next to anything you have control to change, and an “N” next to anything that is out of your control. Then, with what is in your control, how can you control it in a way that is more rewarding and worthy of your time spent? Are there aspects you can engage others to free up some of your time? Are there steps that can be made more efficient? Next, with what is out of your control, can you choose to no longer engage or participate in this endeavor or obligation? If the answer is yes, then take a moment to note how you can remove yourself from this burden that is taking time and mind space. Now that you have assessed what is burning you out, and opened up ways to reduce the burn out, now list some energizing steps you can take toward your ultimate desires. By doing so, you are giving yourself permission to make what you want most a priority. And when passion and priorities unite, you are on the pathway to true contentment and realizing your desires.
