Aug 10 – Are you positively empowering yourself? Do you believe there is a limit to what you can accomplish? Do you get caught in accepting that there are many things out of your control, so you cannot achieve all you desire? Are you allowing negativity and challenges to weigh you down to the point of inaction? Do you feel you have gotten as far as you can go, and are not where you want to be?
A limiting mindset reaps limited results. While you may be faced with challenges, surrounded by naysayers or societal influences, and besieged with nonbelievers or sceptics regarding your talents or abilities, none of these circumstances or people have as much power over you as your own thinking and belief in yourself. A challenge oftentimes presents the most profound opportunities because it forces you to think in a different way. Naysayers or sceptics are best leveraged by taking what you are trying to do to an even higher level or greater good, despite their criticism.
Take an MM&I Moment to reawaken to your belief in yourself and your optimism and options for the future. What would you do if you had no limitations? What opportunities, no matter how small or absurd, have presented themselves to you in the last few days. Instead of being caught in a cup-half-full mentality, how is your cup full? What fills it up in ways that are gratifying, stimulating, rewarding, reassuring, and inspiring? Where within your life does your cup flow over with your own satisfaction, joy, strength, ability, and talent? Review the thoughts you have captured and, chances are, you have unlimited possibilities to explore. Dreams are made reality through a mindset of unlimited possibilities. Every moment of every day is an opportunity for you to take action, create value, and make a difference.
Wide Awake Quote of the Week
“The key to abundance is meeting limited circumstances with unlimited thoughts.” – Marianne Williamson
Yours in dreaming WIDE awake,
P.S. 13 years ago, my weekly inspired-thinking email was launched in celebration of the release of my nationally acclaimed book, Me, Myself & Inc. You can read archives of these inspirations for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. The topic of this week’s Dream Wide Awake was inspired by what I shared on August 10, 2009. While time has passed, what may be holding entrepreneurs or their employees back has not changed. And THAT’S what inspires me each and every day.
