Too focused on what hasn’t happened?

Oct 6  Too focused on what hasn’t happened? How are you viewing these past couple of years? Are you focusing on what went wrong or what went right? Are you wishing things were different or are you looking forward to continuing to make a difference?  Are you feeling as though too many things had to be put on hold instead of focusing on what you can always still embrace? Are you caught up in how things will never be the same, or are you excited by what has never been and what it could mean positively in the future?

If you are continually looking at what hasn’t happened or the negative side of things, then you are allowing yourself to be stuck in the past versus being stimulated towards the future. While you cannot change the past, you can always empower your future. What hasn’t happened should be viewed with excitement for your possibilities, not regret for what didn’t occur.

Take an MM&I Moment to reawaken to what you have achieved, contributed to for the better, made possible, or moved forward over the past two years despite all that you believe didn’t happen. Also list special relationships that have developed, opportunities that have appeared, challenges that are no longer an issue, and any special memories that make you smile inside out. Then allow yourself, perhaps for the very first time, to celebrate and appreciate how far you actually have come and how your future will be in moving you even further forward towards your ultimate desires.
