Sept 10, 2018 - Is time ticking away? Are you finding yourself wishing for more hours and minutes in the day? Do you seem to never get to all that you want to get to in a day, a week? Are you constantly pulled in a lot of directions, and finding yourself only getting to what everyone else wants you to get done and not what you had wanted to get done? Are you not spending time in the way you would like to be spending with the people you would like to be spending it with the most? Time is an asset we each are given. No one gets more or less in a day. We are all given the same. The secret is to treat the time you are given like the precious commodity that it is and choose how you want to spend it.
Take an MM&I Moment to identify ways you can recapture and take control back of your time. Who is dictating how you spend your time that you need to have a discussion with? What things are you doing that you would rather someone else do? Where do you believe your time is best spend and what steps can you take to ensure this is how you are spending your time? While some situations may require a transition for your to take back control of your time, knowing you have the power to determine how you spend it is the first step to gaining some of it back and to realize the freedom to choose how it is spent. Time should never feel as though it is slipping away. Instead it should be a source of joy in the moments and memories experienced.
