Nov 21, 2016 - Is your perception reality? Are you allowing your imagination to work against you instead of for you? Are you assuming the worst or making assumptions about a particular situation or individual that is skewing your judgment? Are you hesitating to understand based on what you perceive is the situation versus what really may be the situation? Are you internalizing things too much, not allowing yourself to consider the other side of things or circumstances that are occurring? Being able to see beyond your initial impression or assumptions is a strength that will elevate your ability to succeed and manage the most difficult of circumstances and challenges.
Take an MM&I Moment to understand what you are perceiving to be unfavorable or undesirable. Is it your imagination running wild due to insecurity, fear of failure, uncertainty or past experiences? Have you taken the time to understand the situation or individual fully through asking questions or learning more about the circumstances before making a judgment? The ability to give every situation the benefit of the doubt with a desire for the best possible outcome begins with our ability to believe this to be possible inside of ourselves. If we believe the best can happen for us, then it is easier to believe it in whatever crosses our path, enabling us to see the best possible solution to getting us there.
