Jan 11, 2016 - Are you striving or thriving? Are you continually going after the next level, without celebrating how far you have already come? Are you so focused on goals, that you have lost sight of what they even really mean to you or those who are in your life? It is perfectly fine and can be exhilarating to strive for something. Too often the pressure associated with striving makes a person feel like whatever is accomplished is never quite good enough. When you have this mindset, you may be actually striving for happiness without really acknowledging this is the underlying issue driving you to achieve.
Take an MM&I Moment to simply appreciate all that you have accomplished and all that brings you joy and pleasure. Being able to appreciate your here and now is essential. Happiness is a choice, not a goal. By embracing happiness as your state of mind through seeing all the good that is already in your life, you will be begin to realize that whatever you accomplish is helping you thrive in your life, making it even better than it already is or was.
