Is appreciation a daily habit?

Nov 21, 2011 – Is appreciation a daily habit? How has appreciation played a role in getting you where you are today? Have you given it much thought or is it something that is taken for granted? It is a well-known fact that when others feel valued and appreciated, they care more about whatever they are doing. When others feel appreciated and acknowledged, they will seek ways to do more because they know it will be recognized and supported. If it has been a while since you have let those in your life and work know how much you appreciate them, let them know today, this week, and on an ongoing basis.

Take an MM&I Moment to list all the people who you appreciate being in your life and supporting you in your work.  Then let them know one by one.  Write a personal note and send it in the mail. Take him or her out to breakfast or lunch. Surprise another with a small token that represents how you feel.  Take a moment to do something in return or to help others in need and then dedicate the action to someone who has done the same for you. Then make the act of appreciation a daily occurrence and you will be surprised what else happens as a result.

Synergized Quote of the Week

“Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it.” – Ralph Marston
