October 15 – Is Q4 weighing heavy? Are you feeling pressure to hit numbers that are not on track? Have certain goals not had the attention you had intended earlier in the year? Have circumstances dictated a shift in focus that has turned your original strategy upside down and inside out? Are you so focused on here and now, looking ahead into next year and beyond seems more daunting than exciting?
As the seasons change, and we are headed towards the end of the year, it can be easy to fall into a mindset focused on what hasn’t been accomplished instead of embracing what has been learned, gained, or reaped despite unexpected detours or challenges. In moments where you feel weighed down in worry, doubt, discontentment, and disappointment, your greatest source of shifting comes from a mindset of gratitude. This includes finding what you could be grateful for amid chaos, uncertainty, unrealized goals, delayed outcomes or unexpected challenges.
Take an MM&I Moment to awaken to the opportunities that may exist when gratitude is embraced. If numbers are not on track overall, where are you seeing traction that could be elevated and enhanced for even greater return, revenue generation or profitability? Could looking at the whole be causing you to miss micro-opportunities?
If certain goals have been put on hold or not had your attention, how could this delay in focus be a blessing? How could the delay actually result in an even greater ultimate outcome? If circumstances have changed because of things outside of your control, what are you grateful that you can control? How could these areas be expanded, enhanced, or open your eyes to opportunities that have been missed because of being mired in frustration by what is outside of your control? What are you grateful will still be of great value and relevance to you or your business going into next year? How can you continue to leverage these opportunities for even greater impact next year and beyond? Your mindset is a powerful tool. And it is always within your control. It can either limit your abilities or empower you beyond imagination. Choose wisely. Gratitude helps you see more clearly. Gratitude opens your mind to possibilities.
