Are you so busy it's blinded you?

Oct 15, 2018 - Are you so busy it's blinded you? Are you saying to yourself, "I will get to it once I get through all of this?" Have you thought to yourself, "I will get back on track once we can catch our breath?" Are you so busy putting out fires and reacting to every demand and request that you feel as though you cannot even think? When time seems to be constantly getting away from you, it is time for you to see what is really going on.
Take an MM&I Moment to try to see what you are missing. By trying to handle everything yourself, are you actually making it even harder for yourself or others? Is what you are delaying getting around to potentially what could help you get through or even see what you are not able to clearly see? What have you been reacting to lately? What is monopolizing so much of your time and ability to get things done more efficiently or effectively? It is when you feel you cannot possibly take the time or make the time that you really need to pause and reflect on why. And when you finally are able to take those blinders off, you will open yourself to the resources and support that will get you back on track and moving forward.

Are you resisting change?

Oct 8 –  Are you resisting change? Are you finding yourself reluctant to accept certain developments that have not transpired as you had hoped? Are you resisting changes that have occurred in your life or business that could be a blessing if you would embrace the lesson or insights that could be gained? Are you faced with something that you believe is unacceptable, and yet you are uncertain what to do next as a result? In this fast paced world we now live in, change is the norm and will only stop you if you allow it to paralyze you.

Take an MM&I Moment to assess the changes that have occurred that are causing you stress, uncertainty and discontent. What do you have control to do, and what is out of your control? What lesson have you learned or insights can you gain from what has occurred? How will you change your approach as a result of this newfound understanding? How will you remain steadfast as a result of this understanding? What is unacceptable, and how can you move forward with dignity, focus and tenacity? Never forget that no matter the circumstances, you always have a choice in how you respond and move forward. Always.

Are you choosing to survive or thrive?

Oct 1 – Are you choosing to survive or thrive? Have recent challenges made you feel that the best has been taken out of you? Are you feeling overworked, under appreciated and undervalued for all that you have invested in your efforts? As the saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough really do get going. And part of that "getting going" is to make sure your head is staying in a place of empowerment and optimism. Chances are there has been another time in your life when you felt that all was not as you had hoped. And in that moment, you proved to yourself just how strong and determined you really were.

Take an MM&I Moment to reflect on past challenges that you have overcome and prevailed. Note what you gained from overcoming these obstacles or setbacks. Now look at your current situation and take a moment to see what you may not be seeing because you are so caught up in just getting by and surviving each day. What can you embrace with a little more vigor that could help you shift into believing you can thrive against this? What are five positive attributes you possess that you can put into action to step forward instead of looking back? As human beings, we were born to thrive each and every day. Don't take that birthright away from  yourself.

Are your values in the forefront?

Sept 24, 2018 - Are your values in the forefront? Are you allowing your values and what is most important to you guide you forward in the decisions you are making? Have you taken the time to understand and truly embrace the values that make you feel whole and impact how you operate and function in day-to-day life? If you are feeling unsatisfied or frustrated, chances are a value or more than one of them is not being honored by others or even yourself, causing this feeling of conflict and unrest.

Take an MM&I Moment to explore any frustrations, conflicts or disappointments you may have recently experienced to pinpoint the value that was not honored. What decisions are you in need of making? Are you allowing your values to guide your choices? When you allow your values, as well as your goals, guide your decisions, you will find that what needs to happen will feel easier, because you are honoring yourself at the very core of you.
