Are you making your choices count?

August 6 – Are you making your choices count? Are you prioritizing based on what can have the greatest impact on helping you achieve your goals? Are you focusing on what is positively actionable, and not allowing negativity to distract or impede on your day? Are you choosing activities and initiatives that are or can make a measurable difference for you and others? You are faced each day with a myriad of choices in each moment. What you choose can either propel you forward to where you want to be or keep you wishing for what you do not have.

Take an MM&I Moment to better assess your choices for positive and empowering impact. What should you stop doing because it is not aiding or supporting your goals? What can you let go of so you can put your energy where it is best used? What is distracting you, and how can you eliminate it from your environment? What  can you do that will help you feel like you are accomplishing something even in the smallest of ways? Choose what is gratifying. Choose what fulfills you. Choose what brings you joy and satisfaction. Choose what you love doing. And leave everything else to someone else or to be left behind for good. You will find such freedom exists when you are making choices that honor you and who you desire and are meant to be.

Are you anticipating too much?

July 23, 2018 - Are you anticipating too much? Are you anticipating too much of the wrong things? Are you worrying about what could happen that you don't want to happen? Are you allowing others' negativity to influence your thinking? Instead of focusing your thinking power on what you don't want, focus instead on what you do want, can do and love to be doing.

Take an MM&I Moment to shift your thinking to a more empowered state of mind. List all the ideal scenarios that could be the end result of what is currently worrying or distracting you. List steps you can take to lessen the worry and eliminate some of the distractions. List what you want to happen and how it will feel to achieve these results. List what you love to do and steps you can take to be doing what you love to do all of the time. Anticipating the best and what is most ideal will always take you further than your fear of what hasn't even happened yet. Not only will it get you to take positive action, it will also help you see that you have more power than you thought you did in shifting and making what you desire and love to come into your reality.

Are you determined enough?

July 16 – Are you determined enough? Are you feeling discouraged by your progress to-date on certain fronts in your life? Are you not getting where you had hoped you would be on a certain initiative or goal? Too often, when things don't go as hoped or planned, we allow what hasn't occurred to cloud our ability to continue to make things occur.

Take an MM&I Moment to evaluate how you may be holding yourself back even more than you realize. Ask yourself just how committed you are to achieve what you ultimately want to achieve. If it is truly unwavering, you will be stopped by nothing to make progress even in the littlest of ways. Have you taken time to process what has not gone as hoped and what you have learned from the experience? What steps can you take as a result of this insight gained? If a door was closed, what other doors can you knock on? Have you assumed because the one door closed, similar doors will close on you too?  Always remember that your greatest advocate or adversary is your mind and the way you are thinking. Maintain your unwavering belief that you will prevail, and you will.

Is your why igniting you?

July 9, 2018 - Is your why igniting you? Do you feel an unwavering drive and focus in what you are trying to achieve?  Do you have that fire in your belly to keep pressing forward no matter what, to make what you envision real? Do you know, without a shadow of a doubt, why you are doing what you are doing … why you are the one to do it … and why it is so important for you to do it?  If you cannot answer "yes" to any of these statements, then it may be time to explore your "why."

Take an MM&I Moment to ask yourself these questions. What do I value most that I want others to also know and realize? What are the underlying reasons behind what I want to achieve? What will be the ultimate benefit and outcome once achieved? How is what I am doing making a difference for others, and how? How is what I am doing unlike anything else being done and why? What absolutely thrills me about what I am doing and why does it get me so excited? Through some of these answers, perhaps you can better express and understand your "why" for greater empowerment and focus in determining your next steps to take. Best of all, when you know your "why" and can effectively express it, you will be amazed at how people, circumstances and opportunities fall into place.
