Are you making everyday progress?

Dec  10 – Are you making everyday progress? Do you prioritize your actions based on what you most want to accomplish? Are you making what you want a priority to the point that you are taking steps each day to make it happen? Are you giving yourself permission to let go of and not do things that are not serving your goals or may be distracting you from what you really want to be doing? No matter what you may be faced with, you have a choice in how you react as well as how you take action.

Take an MM&I Moment to pause and reassess your priorities. What are you hesitating doing that you would really like to be doing? Identify one step you can take today, and take it. What goals are most important to you to achieve? Why are they important? What can you do today to make progress, no matter how small of a step it may be? Make that call. Research that piece of information. Delegate something you shouldn't be doing anyway so you can  take whatever action you know you can do. Make each day one that ends with the satisfaction that you have done something to move yourself forward and closer to what you want to achieve. Before long, you will be gratified by what you were able to achieve, and in how easy it actually seemed after all.

Is your focus gaining desired impact?

Dec 3, 2018 - Is your focus gaining desired impact?  At the end of each day, do you feel you have made some progress and made an impact in some way? Or is your focus pulled in a myriad of directions, leaving you scattered and feeling as though nothing is really getting accomplished? Are you realizing the impact or results that you desire, or does it feel fleeting or always beyond your reach or ability to progress or move forward? If you find yourself frustrated by not being able to focus upon what you really want to be focused on, then you need to accept your role in contributing to this circumstance. You always have choices.

Take an MM&I Moment to explore what is really causing you not to focus and have the impact you desire. What distractions are you allowing to happen? What situations are you being drawn into that are not necessary or not serving you in positive ways? What is keeping you busy, that is not necessary or productive towards your goals and desires? Accept that you have within your total control the ability to choose in each and every moment. Choose what enriches you. Choose what impassions you. Choose what excites and stimulates you. Choose what makes you smile. Choose what will free and support you. Choose to make what you want the priority that you profess it to be.

Are you not motivated enough?

Nov 26, 2018 - Are you not motivated enough?  Are you wanting to achieve something that seems impossible, and therefore you find yourself hesitating or focusing on other things instead? If it is something you would really like to see happen, then it is in your best interests to make an effort each and every day to move toward making it your reality.

Take an MM&I Moment to examine why you believe that what you want to achieve is impossible. What are the reasons you believe it is impossible? What are the reasons you want to accomplish it? Are your reasons for achieving more powerful than the reasons you believe it cannot be done?  Has anyone else ever accomplished what you are trying to accomplish? If you can, then you know it most certainly is possible.  If not, can you think of an example where someone accomplished something no-one had accomplished before?  Now you know that there always needs to be someone to do it first, and so why can't it be you?  Remember. Your greatest opponent in any endeavor is your own thinking if you allow it to limit you. Take action, and before you know it, you will be on the other side of impossible!

Is your gratitude conditional?

Nov 19 – Is your gratitude conditional? Do you only offer your thanks when it is expected or out of politeness, or is your gratitude ever flowing? While most of us have been raised to say "please" and "thank you," too often thankfulness is more of a gesture than a heartfelt feeling of appreciation. Every moment of every day, there are reasons to be grateful, and the feelings should be expressed in our actions and sharing with others, not just when it is expected.

Take an MM&I Moment this Thanksgiving week to truly embrace and acknowledge all that you have to be grateful for and express it openly, lovingly, and appreciatively with those around you. Say thank you to that cashier or server when they provide you what you have purchased. Say thank you to the sunshine for its warmth and the rain for its nourishing to the earth. Say thank you for work being handed off to you or given to you. Say thank you for the people who are in your life or no longer in your life. Gratitude isn't just about saying it; it is about being it. Make a commitment to yourself to be grateful through your actions, not just through your words.
